Free Consultation & Intake
During this one-hour meeting, we will discuss your needs, my services and availability and other details that will influence your decision to hire me as your birth doula. This meeting can take place in-person, via Skype (or similar service) or by phone. Additional information will be provided during this meeting. In Beautiful Harmony Doula Services serves clients on Long Island in Nassau and Suffolk counties as well as in Brooklyn, Queens.
Unlimited Phone & Email Support
Prior to birth and through six weeks postpartum, you will have available unlimited phone and email support to answer any questions, address any concerns, and receive the support you need and want in order to prepare for the birth experience you desire.
Community Referrals & Information
As a client, you will have access to lists of pregnancy, baby, and parenting referrals and other resources. You will also be provided with support in obtaining knowledge and information about labor and birth interventions and options.
2 Prenatal Visits
Starting at approximately 8-weeks prior to your estimated due date, you will have available two prenatal visits. Each visit will last approximately 2 hours each, preferrably with both partners (if available) with the purpose of addressing your questions and concerns, providing information about best practices, and strategies we will use during labor and birth. We will go over your preferences and birth plan, comfort techniques, and your postpartum plans.
On-Call Period, 38 weeks - 2 weeks post due date
Starting at 38 weeks gestation and until 2 weeks following your estimated due date, I will be on-call 24-hours a day, ready to provide you with the labor and birth support you need and desire for your ideal birth experience.
Continuous Labor Support
This time is all about you and your baby. At an agreed upon time, I will join you either at your home or the place where you intend to give birth where you will receive continuous emotional and physical comfort measures, and supporting your wishes so you can experience a positive birth that you are comfortable with. I will also help facilitate communication between you and your partner and the clinical care providers.
Labor & Birth Photography
Many parents wish to document their labor and birth with photos and/or videos. I would be happy to take pictures and/or videos during your labor and birth with your camera or phone.
Baby’s First Feeding Support
You will be provided with support up until and through your baby's first feeding to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have about breastfeeding and your baby.
Postpartum Follow-Up Visit
Within 2 weeks following birth we will meet, at your convenience, in your home for up to 3 hours to go over your thoughts, questions, and concerns about your labor and birth, baby-care, sleep, breastfeeding, etc.
Add-on Services
Additional Prenatal Visits $50 per visit
If you still have additional questions and feel like a phone call
or email will not suffice, additional prenatal visits can be
arranged. Up to two (2) hours per visit.
OB/Midwife Visits $50 per hour
Should you feel like you need additional support while asking
questions and communicating with your care provider about
your pregnancy and upcoming labor and birth, or just want a
friendly face by your side...I can accompany you on a visit.
Additional Postpartum/Breastfeeding Support $50 per visit
Additional postpartum or breastfeeding support visits can
help a mother and the family feel more confident and secure.
Up to two (2) hours per visit.
Organizing/Concierge Services $40 per hour
Making room and need help organizing all the new "baby
stuff"? Need help selecting baby gear? Any other pregnancy or
baby related tasks that you need assistance with? We can help!
Three (3) hour minimum.
Reiki Healing Treatment $60 per session
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive yet powerful treatment that can
help with various pregnancy symptoms as well as healing
following labor and birth. In addition it can provide a sense of
deep relaxation. Cost when purchased by current/past client.
Please inquire for cost when purchased separately.

As a Doula, I Do Not...
Perform any clinical tasks
As A DONA International trained doula, I do not provide clinical or medical tasks such as taking blood pressure or temperature, fetal heart checks, examinations, or postpartum physical care.
Make decisions for you
As your doula I will help you get the information you need to make informed decisions about you, your baby, and the care that you receive, and I will also remind you of the choices that you made prior to labor and birth. However, I will not make any medical or other decisions for you or your baby before, during or after labor and birth.
Speak to the staff on your behalf
It is outside of the scope of a doula's role to speak to birth center or hospital staff on your behalf. I will be a resource to empower you and make suggestions about how you can speak to staff, but I am unable to speak to them on your behalf.
Pass judgment or project any of my own beliefs onto your birth
Your labor and birth experience are YOUR labor and birth experience. My goal is to help YOU experience a labor and birth that you and your partner desire. All decisions, preferences, and requests will be yours and yours alone. My role is only to be there for you, your partner, and your baby without judgment of your beliefs or preferences.
